European Stocks Update

Market Summary

European stocks remained steady on Thursday, with the Stoxx Europe 600 index closing at 494.61.

Top Gainers

• Drax Group PLC (UK:DRX) saw the largest increase, with shares jumping by 11.2%.
• NN Group N.V. (NL:NN) and Embracer Group AB Series B (SE:EMBRAC) also experienced significant gains of 8.1% and 7.1% respectively.
• Howden Joinery Group PLC (UK:HWDN) and Kion Group AG (XE:KGX) rounded out the top five gainers with increases of 7.0% and 6.6% each.

Top Losers

• Grifols S.A. (ES:GRF) witnessed the largest decrease among Stoxx Europe 600 constituents, with shares plummeting by 34.9%.
• Aixtron SE (XE:AIXA) and Amadeus IT Group S.A. (ES:AMS) also faced declines of 18.7% and 7.3% respectively.
• argenx SE (BE:ARGX) and SES S.A. (FR:SESG) completed the top five losers list with drops of 6.9% and 5.5% each.

Currency and Oil

The pound was down by 0.27% against the dollar, while the euro decreased by 0.30%. Brent crude gained 0.57%, reaching $82.62.

Bond Yields

The yield on the 10-year gilt rose by 10.35 basis points to 4.221%, whereas the yield on the German 10-year bund declined by 4.310 basis points to 2.41%.
