U.S. stocks are expected to open with little fanfare on Monday, as investors eagerly anticipate the release of the Federal Reserve's meeting minutes during a shortened holiday trading week.

At 6:13 p.m. ET on Sunday, Dow Jones Industrial Average futures were down 5 points, or less than 0.1%; S&P 500 futures slipped 0.1%; and Nasdaq Composite futures dropped 0.2%.

Upcoming notable earnings announcements this week include Agilent Technologies, Keysight Technologies, and Zoom Video Communications on Monday. Other companies reporting earnings throughout the week include Analog Devices, Autodesk, Best Buy, Dick's Sporting Goods, HP Inc., Jacobs Solutions, Kohl's, Lowe's, Medtronic, Nvidia, Nordstrom, and Deere & Co.

In terms of economic events, the Conference Board will release its Leading Economic Index for October on Monday. On Tuesday, the National Association of Realtors is expected to report existing-home sales for October.

Furthermore, the minutes from the Fed's Oct. 31-Nov. 1 monetary-policy meeting will be made available.

Wednesday will see the release of the durable manufactured goods report for October by the Census Bureau, as well as the Labor Department's initial unemployment benefits claims for the week ended Nov. 18.

Lastly, on Friday, S&P Global will release both its Manufacturing and Services Purchasing Managers' Indexes for November.
