Eni, the Italian oil and gas company, has announced strategic agreements with Kazakh companies KazMunayGas and QazaqGaz. These agreements aim to bolster the development of a 250-megawatt hybrid renewable-gas project in Zhanaozen City, Kazakhstan.

Joint Confirmation Agreement with KazMunayGas

Eni and KazMunayGas have signed a joint confirmation agreement for the renewable-gas project. The project will provide low-carbon and stable electricity to KMG facilities in the area, utilizing solar and wind power. To ensure consistent power supply, a gas power plant will also be integrated into the project.

Memorandum of Cooperation with Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna

Eni has also signed a memorandum of cooperation with Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna. This agreement focuses on additional energy-transition projects, including the exploration of applying the hybrid renewables model in other regions of Kazakhstan. The partnership will also assess mineral initiatives and develop carbon-emission-reduction technologies.

Strategic-Cooperation Agreement with QazaqGaz

Additionally, Eni has entered into a strategic-cooperation agreement with QazaqGaz, Kazakhstan's national gas company. This agreement centers around scientific exchange in the energy sector.

Eni's partnership with KazMunayGas, Sovereign Wealth Fund Samruk-Kazyna, and QazaqGaz highlights the company's commitment to sustainable energy solutions and promotes further collaboration in Kazakhstan's renewable-energy industry.
