Drone Delivery Canada (DDC) has announced exciting plans to implement its innovative drone delivery solution at the main airport in Edmonton, Alberta. This development has caused a surge in the company's shares, which were trading almost 27% higher at 38 Canadian cents (28 U.S. cents) as of 11:22 a.m. ET.

DDC has successfully secured agreements with several key partners, including Edmonton International Airport, Apple Express Courier, BBE Expediting, and MFN Management. These agreements will be in effect for a duration of 12 months and have an aggregate value of 417,000 Canadian dollars ($308,768).

In addition to the airport delivery route, Drone Delivery will also establish a new DroneSpot at a medical clinic situated in Leduc, Alberta. This expansion will further enhance the company's ability to provide efficient drone delivery services within the region.

DDC is set to commence deploying its site infrastructure very soon and anticipates initiating drone delivery services later this year.
